Common questions
Do I have to start over at white belt?
No. If you have Taekwondo or martial arts experience, an assessment lets you pick up where you left off in the Cyber Taekwondo program.
Can I transfer my current rank?
Yes. Students who trained in Kukkiwon-style Taekwondo are generally able to keep their rank after a successful performance assessment. Other experience is placed at the belt that fits your skills.
Where will I start if I trained in another martial art?
Most students with experience in another martial art start at yellow belt after their performance assessment.
When does the assessment happen?
Assessments are quick and can be completed during your 7-day free trial, so you know your starting rank early.
What if I want official Kukkiwon black belt rank?
That is a separate path. See Kukkiwon Black Belt Certification to request a review with a certified master.
